Up!

I have just spent the day with my gorgeous best friend. She has broken up with her boyfriend (I won’t go in to details) and is very upset and generally down in the dumps, even tho she knows she had made the right decision it doesn’t make it any easier.

We ate lunch, walked our hounds and then sat and watched a movie…Up. Error. I had forgotten how sad the beginning of this film is. I bawled my eyes out the first time I watched it and blubbed this time to, as did my poor friend. Well done me!
Possibly the saddest Disney film ever and I make more poor upset friend sit through it, not my best move. Thankfully the bandit was on fine form and managed to cheer her up with her hilarious antics. (reminded me that I have to start her Adventure Book)

I think my friend is incredibly brave for making the decision she has done, it’s not easy having to say goodbye to someone you love, even when you ultimately know they are no good for you. It’s so easy to make a life decision when it’s not your life that is going to be affected or when you are making them guessing at how you would feel in their shoes I know we’d all like to think we could be strong enough to shitcan someone who wasn’t doing right by us/not right for us but if it was that easy, were they ever really worth it in the first place.

Up. If you haven’t watched it please do. The first 20 minutes or so are heartbreaking, they show two people’s complete and utter love for each other so wonderfully. But thank god for Kevin

p.s. I know there are some other über sad Disney moments, but come on Up is a SERIOUS tearjerker, their love for one another is just beautiful.
